In 2023, Australia will have the highest passport fees in the whole globe.
William Russell, a supplier of ex-pat insurance, has examined the expenses of travel and identity papers worldwide to determine which nations' documents are the most and least costly to get.
Australia's travel document is by far the most expensive, costing $230. Furthermore, with an average price of $452, Australia is the country that charges the highest for student visas.
Mexico is next at $170, followed by Australia. Italy ($135) and Switzerland ($140) aren't far behind, narrowly beating out the US. The United States is sixth in terms of passport costs, costing a total of $130. A tourist visa costs $127 on average in the United States, which also levies the highest fees.
It's important to note that Mexico, with an average cost of $36 for a student visa, charges the least.
On the other hand, a Czech passport is the cheapest in the world, costing only $27, according to William Russell's study. Europe dominates the top five most reasonable list, with Slovakia ($35), Latvia ($29), Spain ($33), and Poland ($35) filling out the top five.
Each of the regular passports described above has a 10-year validity period.
