The results of the International Medical Group's (IMG) annual Travel Outlook Survey, which asked IMG clients about their travel plans for 2023, have been made public. According to the poll, 44% of participants intend to travel abroad three or more times each year, up 16% from the survey results from 2022.
According to Steve Paraboschi, President and CEO of IMG, "It is evident that people's desire to travel, whether domestically or internationally, is not slowing down in 2023." With our industry-leading goods and customer service, IMG is well-positioned for travel to expand in 2023 following the significant comeback in travel we experienced in 2022.

-41% increase compared to 2022 survey results
Travelers are getting ready to spend more money in 2023 than they traditionally have.

The most crucial insurance benefit for travelers in 2023 will still be international and/or emergency medical coverage, with trip cancellation and travel delay coverage coming in second.
Top Concerns Travelers Have While Planning or Taking a Trip
-Falling ill or getting into an accident when traveling
-Having to postpone or cancel their vacation.
problems traveling to or from their destination
-Needing to end a vacation once they reach their location
The demand for IMG's iTravelInsured plans, which offer trip cancellation, trip interruption, and travel delay benefits, has never been more robust, according to Paraboschi. IMG has long been regarded as a market leader in travel medical insurance.
In 2023, many people want to travel inside their own country, however, some people only sometimes get travel insurance that includes trip cancellation and/or delay benefits.
-89 % intend to travel within the country in 2023
-48% want to make at least three domestic trips in 2023.
-Only 19% of travelers obtained travel insurance for at least one domestic trip in 2022, including trip cancellation and/or delay benefits.
These findings demonstrate the critical need for travelers to comprehend the value of travel insurance, even for domestic travel, according to IMG Chief Operating Officer Amanda Winkle. Travelers are worried about being able to cancel their excursions this year since they are going to spend more money on their vacations.
